Sugar COATS

Winter has arrived and what is your closet without a HOT Stylish Coat?

Thank you for visiting the BLOG to countdown my top favourite Women and Men coats. I showcase the most stylish and trendiest coats. if you bought one this winter you will definitely own it for next coming 3-4 years and you will still be in with the current.
So now help me SUGAR COAT it.

WOMEN

1. Trench Coat

Originally an optional item of dress in the British Army, trench coat has evolved into one of the most fashionable coats, dressing up the most stylish of women. This ten-buttoned, double-breasted raincoat now comes in both dark, sophisticated shades and light, feminine colours, such as red, peach and orange.

2. Parka Coat

A puffy, often down-filled jacket, Parka can be challenging to style. This casual style ranges from cropped to below midcaff, with or with the absence of fur. When the temperature drops to -40C and the wind makes it feel like -60C, Parka can be your (BFF) best friend forever.

3. Wrap Coat

This outer layer that’s somehow akin to a robe has an extra material that allows it to overlap in the front. It’s clinched by a belt.

4.Toggle Coat

This coat has front toggle closure and often a hood. Usually cut from wool.

MEN

Looking lumersexual cool in parkas or duffle coats, or swag as hell in fur coats is a MISSION. You do need a LOT of swag to pull off a fur coat as a man. Unless you’re Kanye West. Then you don’t need to give a sh*t.

1. Classic Coat

The hottest styles here are the double breasted ones, in slim cut, with a Cantona collar. Pop it like it’s hot baby!
Midi lengths seem to be the most ubiquitous right now, yet shorter styles are sill OK. Highlander inspired length can look so cool, but a lot of guys can’t pull that off.

2.Duffle Coat

The DUFFLE COAT is a massive trend in 2015 winter. It’s that coat in between the classic winter coat and the parka, usually has a hood, wooden buttons, square pockets and has a well defined cut and design.

3.Parka Coat

One of my favourite coat styles for men is still going strong this season. Again it goes with anything, but what I think it instantly does – is add coolness to a look. In either black or the classic military green the moment you wear one you look like you know your sh*t style wise.

4.Fur Coat

Okay, this is a tricky style for men, I’ll give you this, but those who dare to, will definitely be making a style statement and owning it. OR if a full fur coat is too much… try a vintage style coat, that is just insanely HOT on men. You know the ones, from back in the day, that have complete fur lining underneath and a full long fur lined collar that you usually pop.

Ambitious Hustle "Under The Blazer"

I met one of the youngest black Inspiring ladies of our generation "Aobakwe Mosime". 21 year old lady from the far north of pretoria, a place called "Mabopane" she managed to become a "TrailBlazer" at her age.

Against all odds she was able to write a book that speaks to the young women of our country and yet juggle It with all that's on her plate.
She's GOD fearing women, author and A Bcom Accounting Sciences student at The University Of Pretoria.

I'm truly inspired by her energy and everything that she stands for, it's times like these I get PROUD as a fellow brother & get motivated to do more than what I'm doing now.

Get Yourself A Copy Of "UNDER THE BLAZER"

1. When Did You Start Thinking About Being An Author,Like Motivational Writing?

I started thinking about it back in matric. Because before then I was just writing for fun and not for a book. So the minute I saw a gap,I did something about it.

2.What Led You Too Start This?

What led to write this book was that I never came across such a book on the market. Our parents also shied away from talking to us about issues we face in teenagehhood. That frustrated me even further. So I saw a gap in the market and decided to write this book. But even before,I was writing some stuff on the side but not for the book until I realised it is a gift I can use to solve a social problem.

3. What Is Your Vision Through Under The Blazer?

To see young women make better decisions because they have gained more knowledge through the book. Ultimately my vision is to see more phenomenal, all rounded women arising and impacting their world more than being depressed about a guy who who dumped her or how flat their stomachs are. There is more to life than that.

4. How's The Book Doing Since You Launched/Released It?

The book has been doing well ever since the launch on the 2nd of April. As days go by,more people are hearing or seeing the book and want to know more and that results in more sales. So the growth of the book is progressive.

5. What Are The Lows You've Come Across In This Industry?

Lows, I think there are two that stand out:

- Book writing and publishing knowledge is not out there,so one had to dig and ask a lot of questions before releasing the book, e.g I would have never known about self-publishing if I hadn't done my research on it .

- We have a lot of writers but young authors are a bit hard to find, we don't have a lot of books though that hit the nerves of society to solve problems. Oh and the last low is getting funding to get the book self-published as a student was another low. But all these lows you make a way to turn them into highs, otherwise we wouldn't be having this interview now.

6. Have You Thought About Getting The Book Into Local Bookshops? School Libraries? And If Yes What Are You Doing About It?

Yes I have but thing is I'm trying to push something of DIY(doing it yourself) instead of allowing people a cut on a piece of your hardwork when you actually do it yourself. I'm reminded of a saying from " someone else is making money from something you were not willing to do yourself." I think in the early stages of sales you need to do DIY exhaust all your options then when you have fully enjoyed the rewards, you can leave it to book stores to sell. Although it is convenient, we always don't want to do things the normal way. School libraries, it is definitely something in the pipeline that we busy organising in partnership with a project called Umoja Magazine.

7. What Are The Highs Of The Industry?

We have a lot of talent in writing and a lot can be turned into movies,TV programs, books to solve problems in society. The rewards are there but it comes with a lot of hardwork and always trying to bring something unique. As unique and authentic things don't go unnoticed.

8. How Long Did It Take You To Write This Book? Tell Me About The Production Process, How Long Did It Take You To Go For Printing?

It took me a good 3 years to write the book and under a year of so to sort out technicalities like getting the book edited, book cover design, inside layout, isbn number, printers, organising book launch etc. Funding also prolonged the process. But if you have the money. You can get the technicalities done within a month or even under a month. I recently helped a guy who got everything done in 2 weeks. My challenge was that I had to find my way through a lot of those steps in production. It becomes easier when someone has been there and they guide u swiftly.

9. It's A Motivational Book Rite? What Advice Do You Have For Other Writers Out There Who Would Love To Be Just Like You?

Conclude your manuscript! You will never be an author, storyteller or a writer if you don't finish your script. THEREFORE FINISH! This also applies to everything in life.

10. Typically Describe A Day In Your Life?

A day in my life. Wake up,read the word of God,say my prayer, bath and head to my lecture classes, after classes I give myself time to feed the things I do on the side, study for my modules then close everything off in prayer.

11. It Must Be Hard To Come Up With Such A Project, Tell Me Do You Work Alone?

Yes I work alone.

12. By The Looks Of Things You're Young, Black And Talented Besides Writing, What Else Are You Up Too?

LOL, wait and see but I will be venturing more into the business side of things.

13. What Is The Targeted Market You Looking At?

For the book,my target market is High School learners. Specifically teenage girls.

14. What Is The Mission You Want To Accomplish Through Under The Blazer?

Impact lives through my story!

15. Where Do You See Yourself In The Next Coming 5 Years?

That question, LOL! I don't like speaking about things before they happen. You will just see them happen, but one thing for sure is that my name will carry a lot of weight, not because of material things but because of my contribution.

16. I'm A Fan Rite? Where Can I Get Linked Up To Get The Book? Let's Say I'm From Durban Or Kimberly?

The pages of the book haven't yet been blown by the winds of kimberley or by the waves of Durban. But we can post it to them. As soon as we get representatives in those cities, there will be someone there from which they can get their copy.

17. If I Wanna Follow Your Work Where Do I Get Linked Up?

Men Bags A Big YES

It’s in the Man Bag

Throw out the old idea that bags are for women and get with the fashion-forward times. While classic bags like briefcases are still around, other bags with classic elements, like the messenger bag, are becoming almost necessary accessories for today’s modern man. Scroll down and learn more about what to buy your boyfriend for his birthday & what to get your father/husband for this coming "Father's Day".

1. Briefcase/ Attache

Briefcases are probably the oldest form of “acceptable” handbags for men. Modern-day briefcases, however, have evolved a great deal since the days of our father’s sharp-cornered case. They’re no longer boxy; in fact, that’s about the only traditional element discarded in the modern briefcase. The classic shape (without the sharp corners), buckles, leather exterior, and practical interior compartments help make this bag a timeless addition to any working-man’s wardrobe.

Carry With: Business Attire

2. Messenger Bag Classic

Typically named, the messenger bag is designed after the bags traditionally carried throughout history by whom else? messengers. Often made from canvas and swung across the shoulder, messenger bags have taken on a whole new meaning in urban fashion. From students with canvas bags to urban hipsters with modern leather bags, the messengers chilled & relaxed style will always have a classic casual flair, but today’s leather messenger tote also exudes a hint of uptown sophistication.

Carry with: Slick street clothes

3.Duffel/ Carry All Bag

Any travelling man needs a holdall for those weekend jaunts or three-day business trips. Big, bulky luggage has transformed into sleek, stylish holdalls (or carry alls). Its design is inspired by the duffel bag, but its predominantly leather exterior and more refined appearance attribute a classic look to this practical tote.

Can carry with: Casual weekend wear.

4. Vertical Messenger Bag

A more square version of the messenger bag, a camera bag is a longer rectangular bag that is meant to be strapped across the shoulders. Convenient for tourists, but good for any man on the go, a camera bag is a discreet but severely stylish way to lug around your belongings. What makes the camera bag stand out as a classic men's bag is its ability to bring a touch of masculinity to an outfit, even if it is hanging from your shoulder. It’s a simple style with a whole lot of function.

Carry with: Leisure wear.

5.Tote Bag

A tote is the modern approach to the classic briefcase. Resembling an artisan’s bag, the tote is the utmost in casual business attire. Its basic design and usual soft leather exterior allots it a classic status, while its long handles give it a contemporary edge. If purchased in a chocolate brown or black, this bag can add a touch of laid-back masculinity to any casual work wear.

Carry with: Business-casual clothes

6. Newsboy Bag / Satchel

Like the advent of the newsboy cap, the newsboy bag is a classic style that has become synonymous with men’s casual wear. It’s similar to the messenger bag’s style, but its traditional canvas exterior makes it a little less formal than the latter. This bag style is perfect for the student on the go, as it makes a fashion statement and exudes more masculinity and style savvy than a knapsack.

Carry with: Campus-chic wear

7. Hobo Bag

Just like the newsboy bag the Hobo Bag shares similarities. The difference is the distinctive look it has. the sling belt which is advent and more like the newsboy bag,it has classical style and timeless look which is derived from its name typically. It has traditional canvas exterior makes it a little less formal than the latter. This bag style is perfect for the student on the go, as it makes a fashion statement and exudes more masculinity and style savvy than a backpack.

Carry with: Campus-chic wear
