#FiilUpRoyalBafokeng

15 December 2019 AKA #FillUpRoyalBafokeng Was excited, hectic and all sorts of emotional. Refiloe Phoolo Aka Cassper Nyovest did again. He continues to show us that his fans and supporters are the most loyal people out here. With his resilience and his gratitude Cassper managed to #FillUpRoyalBafokeng. We arrived A bit late, around 8pm. So I was irritable because of how late we got to Rustenburg. " I can't miss cass performance for the world" it keeps repeating in my tipsy head. Moments pass and we arrive, Damn it's packed, Its full, the North West province Literally came out in numbers to support their very own. Yes We acknowledge people who travelled from a far to come support but this was meant for his people. after 5 Years of success he never went back home. It Was very special to see genuine love being spread, it is said in the bible that if all are gathered in my name which is love then i shall be amongst you forever. And I saw that in cassper's smile. His GOD's Anointed child.

2 Hours later , 10pm The music stops, lights get dimmed out then a blue ray of laser starts drawing on the curtain that was covering the wide led screen that was his backdrop. We See MUFASA Coming From Beneath The Stage. The Crowd went ape, Nyovest Was There In Flesh, Drapped In Fine Blankets He Made A Statement.
I Hope You Bought, My All Time Favorite Came On And The Rest Was History Made.

I Managed To Capture Pictures Of A Beautiful Historic Event And They Just Make My Heart Melt, Along With Those Taken By Respective Individuals I Was With At The Concert. Enjoy!!!

Style Effekt

Close to two weeks this rain has kept us indoors curled up In Front of a heater or wearing layers of clothes that got heavier because of the cold. So the bit that's left of December you can't be seen wearing boring clothes or being associated with the "lack of style" while I'm here to guide you on 6 Do's and Don'ts that you can exclusively use for yourself, boyfriend, brother & friend.

With The busy schedule December has, i can't be seen fouling my look. No. This Is the season you wanna play with your colours and go bright, brave and bold. patterns are beautiful if executed properly, Its like one of those ultimatums, "one mistake" you're dead. Men's fashion has evolved really drastically, from tanks to 9 different pairs of shorts to choose from in today's day and age, So it's safe to say it is really complex and accommodating for the conservative ones too.

1. Say Bye To Your Socks

When You decide on wearing loafers, boat shoes,  push-ins or your sneakers such as "Converse, All-Star" or "Jack Parcel" NO-Show Socks are the way to go, always keep it clean and comfortable. if you also feel more comfortable barefoot, exercise precaution by using foot powder.

2. Wear Something Light

Choosing the right light weight fabrics can do a lot of justice for you. Cotton, linen and seersucker are what you should be shopping for if you don't already have in your wardrobe. These fabrics can go a long way in both keeping you stylish this summer and keeping you cool in this heat.

3. Wear BRIGHT Colors

SUMMER Is the right time to add some color in your life. Inject color and project happiness, that's the whole purpose of fashion to change people's perception about everyday topics, start a conversation amongst the conservative on how to take on the brave barton. so yes if you were thinking of colouring your blue or pink , go ahead and do it, SUMMER is the perfect time to pull it off. Look at it in both perspectives, with your causal and dressier outfits take risk and add ready hues like (pink, blue, green and yellow).

4. NO Heavy Fabrics

Skip heavy wools, knitted jerseys and tweeds. Pack them away, very far until next year winter. Not only you're going to feel out of place but also it doesn't look right. Stick to fabrics we've touched on already. That's your cotton, linen and light weights; denim or lighter.

5. Two Piece Patterns Are A Thing

Patterns are making a mark and here to stay. Also very sensitive on how they're worn, they're sensational if thought very carefully and to over accessorized. Color and aesthetics is very important coming to two piece pattern outfits, Its either they enhance you or just make you dull, and that's what you don't want because they're eye catching and demand attention, so you need to know your game here.

6. Flip Flops Are For The Beach

If You walking around the house, just took a bath or had a shower or even hosting friends over for beer and meat then YES you can wear your Flops by all means.  REGARDLESS how casual the situation is, Please don't wear FLOPS. Opt for nice comfortable sneakers or if you want a breather, nice comfortable sandals will do.

Ambitious Hustle "Lius SA"

Social media has taken a new direction in how people meet, communicate and share stuff. From music, videos , pictures and moments. Met one formidable force online, don't remember how but somehow he ended on my Whatsapp contacts. An inspiration he is to many of his peers , a Healer to all of his supporters and an ambitious young lad he is. When his not working on his music his busy trying a shot to Design album covers for the likes of Dj Maphorisa and Kabza De Small. A Force, His Name Is Tshepo But Goes By "LIUS SA". An Energy You Want To Vibrate With , All The Way From Pretoria "Attridgeville" , LIUS Is Also A Biomedical Sciences Student, How Amazing Is That?

Who Is Lius SA? Tell Me More About Yourself.

Lius is more than an artist, I'm a giver, I'm a optimistic person ,I dont give up quickly,  I always want to grow and be better than I was yesterday.  I live by the mentality which is a phrase my friend Mangaliso always said " How Can the sky be the limit when there is footsteps on the moon" , I feel like I'm a type of person who gives people too many chances, I have hope in change and I believe that anyone can change and anyone can make it in the industry,  all you need is just talent, determination and hardwork..and I believe I am that person.

When Did You Start Music ?

I started doing music in 2016 , I was in grade 11  schooled at Voortrekkerhoogte High school until now

What Led You Too Start This?

I always loved music,  so I would find myself listening to music in my room pretending to perform all these songs you know, imagining me on the big stages , crowd singing my lyrics word for word, and I knew people who did music so I would ask for advice and after some time I dropped my first single titled "Dabbing All Day" and it wasn't my best , you know first singles are never your best and I grew myself to be the artist I am today.

Please Describe Your Sound?

My sound is a mixture of a lofi sad sound with the newly age trap, I'm a versatile artist, I can rap if need to be, I can trap if need to be, thus I am open to all sounds and I find that a way to grow myself as an artist.

Your Sound Is Fresh And Relates To An Average Joe From Kasi Aka The "Township" But Also Has That American Signature To It. Tell Me Who Produces Your Beats?

Shai Maponya ...stage Name :Shai he produces , mixes and masters all my beats and some songs...and to this day I thank him everyday for helping me find my sound.

What Are The Lows You've Come Across In This Industry?

One of the lows , I've came across was building a fan base, I feel like all upcoming artists struggle with this at first, it becomes so difficult to build a fan at first  because the question of "what makes you unique?" Is difficult to answer when you just started because you are still trying to find your sound and what you are comfortable with, and sometimes it takes longer than expected and the fear of how people will receive your music and I myself is still struggling to build a solid fan base, and also being able to present yourself through perfomances and also losing friends and close relationships because Music takes alot from you, it drains you completely and sometimes you can't balance your personal life and music and leads through tough times, I went through a depression phase in my life because I was so stressed about not making it and how everything I've tried to get into the industry has failed and it was the biggest low that I've came across.

But Even After Every Dark Phase Comes Light, So What Are The Highs Of The Industry?

One of the greatest highs that I've had is had is ..in 2018 , I dropped a single titled Depression. Where I talk about how I feel ...and it started popping on twitter reaching a total of 59,1K and   500 Plays on audiomack and that for me meant alot because it was the first time in my career such things has happened  getting recognition from the late HHP  meant alot and that will forever be a High in my life.

What If A Record Company Wants To Sign You?

Record label signing isnt a problem but with what is happening via Record labels such as ambitious entertainment, being independent looks like the best choice there is , Because when you Independent,  you can make choices that will impact you and you dont have to make choices based on the companies terms.

On That Note About Being Signed, Is There Any Deals You Got By Far Any Promising Signing?

So far , nothing,  as I'm still trying to build my fan base and trying the most to get in the industry.

Is It About The Passion, Money Or Fame?

At first music is about passion and less about money, but as time progresses in your career, you realize that money is needed. For me to record those songs that my fans listen to i need money, for me to get to my gigs I need money, for me to have proper exposure and promo I need money. so it gets to a point where money is a need , and we want be famous even thou we know that fame comes with its own angels and demons which require you to act in a certain manner in order to contain it. So all these aspects Passion, Money and fame all work together in order to make you the artist you wanna be.

I Know That You're A Talented Young Being, Besides Music, What Else Are You Up Too?

Besides music I am a self taught  graphic Designer, I'm doing my first year in Biomedical Science,  hobbies also include playing sports.

What Is The Targeted Market You Looking At?

Youth , you know as the youth of this generation. we go through alot and we scared to Express ourselves because we are scared of what other people might say. As a youth more than half the population go through depression, anxiety and all that mental illnesses and I want them to know that it's okay to be sad , it's okay not to figure things out ,we human after all.

What Is The Mission You Want To Accomplish Via Your Music?

Heal People, when someone tells me that I was going to do this to myself,  but your music helped me escape that mentality that's what makes me happy and I feel like I completed my purpose when I do that.

Who Would You Like To Work With That Is Already In The Mainstream?

Yohh....uhm there is a lot of artists i would like to work with but if I should give you five , it would be A-Reece , Die Mondez , Rouge , Flame, and Ayanda Jiya.

Making This Your Platform, What Would You Want Somebody To Take From This Interview? In Simple Terms What Is Your Life Lesson?

Nothing in life comes easy, and sometimes things won't go your way but keep pushing , your hard work doesn't go unnoticed.

Any Collabs You've Done ?

So far I've done collabs with other upcoming artist  like First, Shai , Prince Royal, Allison Just a few to mention .

Where Do You See Your Music In The Next Coming Five Years ?

In 5 years I see myself in the industry,  2020 looks like a very promising year and I'm determined to make it the year I blow up.

I'm A Fan Rite? Where Can I Get Linked Up With Your Music?

Audiomack, Soundcloud, I'm still working on the Distribution process with distrokid but in a few months time it will be available on all major platforms Including  iTunes and spotify.

If I Wanna Follow Your Work Where Do I Get Linked Up?

Titles

Soldiers Always Hide Themselves Behind Their Uniform, You Know Why? They're Not Expected To Be The Kind Of People Just To Breakdown And Feel Frustrated About Their Current State. So Much Pressure That Is Up Held By Just A Title.
(Metaphorically) Everyone Is Binded By Some Title Or Situation, Which Is Totally Absurd, Because The Result To That Is A Great Fall Into Depression Or Worse Suicide.
GOD Heal You This Moment & Going Forward, You're In My Prayers

Grooming Tips For Men

Do you ever mistakenly cut yourself while shaving? Well, that can happen sometimes! But in order to avoid this, you should keep in mind proper grooming techniques.

Facial and bodily hair growth for men is completely natural. You can decide for yourself whether or not you want to grow out and groom your beard or body hair. Maybe you would rather trim it away. Either way, proper grooming is key if you want to have clean, nice looking and soft hair and skin.
Before making any new decisions about grooming, you should weigh the pros and cons." Make your research that helps in maintinubg a healthy skin.

You can argue from many angles about the aesthetics of growing a large beard, but if you’re having difficulty deciding if that’s right for you, you can always ask your partner's opinion, family or friends. If you choose to have a clean shaven face, you should also keep in mind that this is time-consuming, and may irritate your skin if you have acne or sensitive skin.
If you have acne/ sensitive skin try different kinds of razor blades to see which ones are best suited to your skin.

The type of razor you use has a major effect on the quality of your shave. A sharper blade will most likely give you a cleaner shave, and is less likely to irritate your skin.

The best time to shave is right after using a sauna or after a warm shower when your pores are open and your skin is soft. This will help prevent razor burn and bumps.

Ambitious Hustle "Ashaba Official"

I’m Ashaba Andrew  (24) founder of ASHABA fashion brand formally known as Bonafide Prints. I am a fashion designer despite not having studied Business Information Technology at university level..
We had an online website as Bonafide Prints but then while we were rebranding to ASHABA we realized we did not need a website at the time because most of our orders were coming through our social media platforms. It’s a bit inconvenient for customers to identify something on say our Instagram page then they have to go to the website and scroll through it and find it then add to cart and check out. They found it easier to just DM (direct message) us whatever they saw on our Instagram and say i want this in this size.

Why name it ASHABA as you may ask, it’s my name and it’s african, its short, more memorable. While it was bonafide prints people used to forget what it was called and they’d have to call or text me to remind them incase they wanted to tag us on their social media bur surprisingly they always remembered my name Ashaba.

When Did You Start Thinking "Entrepreneurship" Designing/ Tapping Into The Fashion Industry?

I can say I started as an entrepreneur back in my early high school days with T-shirt branding.

What Led You Too Start This?

I actually started doing this as a business a while ago, 2016 to be specific. Before that I just used to make items for myself just to wear and feel “original” haha. It became serious towards the end of 2015 beginning of 2016. A friend of mine  (Cliff Ombasa) who lives in Minessota saw one of my jumpers and wanted to get one for himself so i sent it his way. So one day he calls me and says “bro i have something i need to tell you.” To be honest I expected some bad news like he had been arrested or something like that but then he told me he wore the jumper to a party he was attending and he had everyone’s attention immediately he walked through the door. It was an african themed kind of party and his jumper was very unique. No one in the whole state had something similar. So they asked him how where he bought it from to which he responded by saying, thats his side business. Hahaha. Smart guy. So he received orders for similar jumpers from the party. I think he walked away with almost 47 orders of which more than half of those customers had already paid a deposit to him in Cash. So after that night the business started.

What Is Your Vision Through Ashaba ?

ASHABA is an African fashion brand that aims focuses on african prints and patterns with a twist of western culture. We look to integrate the fashion industry with different cultures so as to unite every individual despite race, religion, age and gender.

Tell What The Fashion Industry & Being An Entrepreneur Like In Kenya, Nairobi

Being an entrepreneur in Nairobi is tough business especially in the fashion industry. There’s alot of copy paste.

What Are The Lows You've Come Across In This Industry?

Some of the problems we’ve faced are consistency (in the early days) as all our products are tailor made. So as we all know “Human is to error” so consistency was a bit of an issue but now they (tailors) got used to making these products so they are a bit more consistent.
Distribution is also a problem coz the shipping prices are ridiculously high.

Have You Been Thinking About Growing The Brand In Terms Of Branching Into Different Places, Like Being Accessible For A Larger Audience?

Yes I’ve been thinking of growing ASHABA beyond the boarder. We want to have stores everywhere. We will start with pop up stores soon. God willing late this year.

What Are The Highs Of The Industry?

With this vision and mission in us we’ve been able to work with some great music talents in and out of the continent for some of their Music Videos,  concerts, Interviews...like Diamond Platnumz(Tanzania), RayVanny(Tanzania), Wizkid (Nigeria), Tekno(Nigeria), Lola, Rae (Nigeria), The Kansoul (Kenya), Vivian (Kenya), Romain Virgo (Jamaica), Pallaso (Uganda), Avril (Kenya) just to mention but a few. We’ve also had the opportunity to work with Coke-Studio Africa back in 2016/2017

Your Merchandise Is An Eye Catcher (Daymn), Tell Me More About The Production Process. What Is The Inspiration Behind The Latest Range?

The designing of the products is more visual to me as I design all the products myself. I can see a specific material and in my mind I’ll visualize what to pair it with cause i had maybe seen something different somewhere else then I’d have to go to the artist that draws for me (I’m not very good at drawing), so I’d have to explain to them in detail. It’s actually quite funny if you saw us talking about a design you’d think we are fighting because what is in my head is not what he is putting on paper in the beginning. But he gets it right in the end and then the process starts. I handpick all the items myself buttons, zips, linings, ribs, color of threads etc I’m very specific when it comes to these things.

Is It About The Passion, Money Or Fame?

I’d say it’s about passion and money because opportunities aren’t easy to come by these days.

Typically Describe A Day At The Ashaba Quaters

A typical day at ASHABA is mostly spent at the stores/markets searching for new fabrics while those at the workshop work on the orders placed. Quite boring

Your Line Is Fresh And Vibrant, Tell Me Do You Work Alone?

Do i work alone? No not really, i have some friends of mine in different countries that help me distribute my products for a cut at the end of the day. We have tailors, delivery motorcycles as well. So no I don’t do everything myself.

By The Looks Of Things You're Young, Black And Talented Besides Clothing, What Else Are You Up Too?

Apart from fashion I’m slowly learning the ropes of event organization. A bit of farming here and there too.

What Is The Targeted Market You Looking At?

Our target market is everyone of every age, race, religion. As we have the ability to mix up all these cultures and just be ONE world under the sun.

What Is Your Mission You Want To Accomplish With Ashaba?

ASHABA looks to be on the same level as Nike in the long run or adidas. America and Europe already have these superpower brands and ASHABA will be the first Africa has had.

Where Do You See Ashaba In The Next Coming 5 Years?

We want to become a household name and not have every african talking about yeezy, gucci, jordans. We want every african to be proud of their own and the whole world at large.

I Want To Support You Rite? Where Can I Get Linked Up With Your Merchandise, I'm From South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe And I Want To Purchase, How Do I Go About It?
