Ambitious Hustle "Amarillo Dramacydal"

In the midst of everything life throws at us, I met a boy named Amukelani Masoanganye Aka "Amarillo Dramacydal" I saw what we call potential and heard hunger in his raps, I then was hooked to how he conducted himself. A hardworker, very observant and excellent mover. I normally take notes on everyone that comes into my life and I try to help where I can, thats where me and "A.D" took a journey on this path were he would rap and I would be some sort "Shadow" behind him trying to motivate his will and purpose.
We then joined forces to make one productive move that ATL "Atteridgeville" has ever seen. I bring to you the most honest and distinctive rapper we have seen, his young, fresh and a go getter. His the #FreshPrinceOfAttridgeville

1. How Did You Come Up With Your Name (Amarillo Dramacydal) And What Does It Mean?

Amarillo means yellow, which is my favourite colour in Spanish so as my favourite colour i decided to call myself Amarillo because my real name is Amu and it links very well with Amarillo. Dramacydal comes from an old hip hop/rap group and i grew up listening to them, now they call themselves the OUTLAWS. So i told myself that i should use Dramacydal as a part of my stage name because they are the ones who drove me to fall in love with music

2. When Did You Start Doing Music?

I started doing music when i was about nine years old, but back then i was not recording my staff because i never knew anyone who was going to help me get a studio, so i was just writing verses and they all ended up no where. So in 2012 i got an opportunity to record a single after recording the single i left hip hop and neglected the fact that i know how to rap and all that time i was not into the music industry. In 2015 somewhere in June i decided to abolish the fact that i know how to rap and that i am neglecting it so i got back in the music industry in 2015 and started being more dedicated to my talent.

3. What Led You Too Start This

I guess what led me to do this is that sometimes a person has to use what God has blessed them with, you know that moment when you're sitting alone and thinking about what you could have done and what you could not have done and envisaging about your life. Another factor that led me to start this is that i have got to have a plan B, do what i am passionate and ambitious about instead of relying on a single goal.

4. You're Young Fresh & Still Upcoming, Tell Me How Do You Plan Using Your Talent In Reaching The Masses?

I plan using my talent to a great extent, i have to somehow elevate my work along my way up to reaching the masses. But then sometimes it's never about using my talent to get up there, it all goes with ambition and determination that a person like me has got to have, and with my talent and ambition it is pretty clear that i am going to reach the masses in no given time.

5. I Hear You're involved with both Entities Synesthetic Nation & Troublesome_Kids. Tell Me More About Your Involvement With Both Organizations? Please Go Into Emphasis.

Synesthetic Nation is sort of like a small company in the USA, we met on socially on Twitter. They sent me a direct message after hearing one of my singles on Soundcloud.com , they asked me if ever i'd like them to produce beats for me so they sent two beats to see if i could come up with killer tracks, and the agreement was that if they like my style then they were going to produce beats for me for free. So i did the tracks, but i only used one beat from the two beats that they sent me and luckily they liked it and that is how i started getting produced by them. We never met on a face to face basis before, we only work with each other through emails. Every month end they send me a pack of 7 new beats through email.
The second one which is Troublesome_Kids. Troublesome_Kids is a production company that is all about Events, fashion, trends and art, in general it is about the entertainment. I got involved with Troublesome_Kids when i met a guy who is now my manager "Sean (Epic) Lewis ", who is the founder of Troublesome_Kids, my involvements with Troublesome_Kids is that it manages me, it hooks me up with gigs, markets my music and is responsible for getting my music to get featured on AIR so in general Troublesome_Kids makes everything possible for me.

6. You've Recently Just Released A Mixtape, "Juss Got Started" Let's Talk More About That,, The Inspiration, How Long Did It Take You To Work On The Project And Specifically Who You Worked With On The Tape?

Like i said that i have been neglecting my talent all this time and so when i got back into the music industry i decided to get straight to making a mixtape, and what inspired me most to do a mixtape is that i wanted to get more recognition and hopefully to become successful because all the time that i was doing nothing i feel like i left a huge gap, personally for me i felt like with all my talent i could have reached the masses. I named it "Juss Got Started" because i am getting started and i am going to make waves in the RSA hip hop industry so people should look out for what i am going to bring them in the near future. it took me 3 months to finish the mixtape, and what drove me to finish the tape in a period of 3 months is that i had announced the release date of the tape before finishing the tape and that made people to look out for my music and to await it and that plan sort of helped me to get recognition, so it was a motivation for me to concentrate on finishing because i am not all about letting people down and i do not like procrastinating my work.

7. My Favourite Tracks In The Tape Must Be "N*ggaz Changed On Me & Thank You GOD". What Went Through Your Mind While Recording These Tracks? They're Totally Out Of This World.

Hahaha, i wrote " N*ggaz Change: On Me" because i wanted to release what was in my heart and cough it out because i could not leave it anymore so i had to take all my feelings out on the track. What really happened is that when i was getting love from people, all my close friends and associates started acting strange towards me and changed on me, that's how I came about it and the one titled "Thank You God" i wrote it because i had to thank God for a gift that he has blessed me with, For showing me the right way in life.

8. Is It About The Passion, Money Or Fame?

I would say i do it for the passion but i would be lying, it is all about getting money. As a black child and coming from a so not well financially stable family my dream is to get the struggle out of my family, to see my mom proud of me for supporting her, having my own house. But the money would not be about bragging and to people who do not know they will probably think that i am doing this for passion because i am not that rapper who brags about money all the time but then its all about the money.

9. What If A Record Company Wants To Sign You?

I do not think i am going to sign, i want everything to be about me, i do not want to get pressurised and to get a limit. So i am not looking forward to signing an offer unless it is under my conditions

10. What Are The Lows You've Come Across In This Industry?

The lows i have come across in this industry has to be people not believing in me from the start, i had thought that i was wasting my time but then it motivated me to prove them wrong, some lows i have come across are than i was not getting much studio time, i have been getting delayed to record my music and that scared me throughout the process of coming up with my mixtape.

11. What Are The Highs Of The Industry?

The highs that i came across are motivations from the likes of Nasty C, compliments from fans, the downloads i have been getting lately, so basically that shows that i am going up and things look very promising for me, and the opportunity of getting international allies like Synesthetic Nation as my producers.

12. Please Describe Your Sound, What Do You Call It?

My sound usually relates to everybody, i call it Hip Hop/Rap/Trapsoul

13. What Is The Targeted Market You Looking At?

The target market i am looking at has to be people who love music, i am talking about different genres because my music relates to everyone who listens to it. Any different age group is able to listen to my music, but then now that its 2016 people from about 15 to 30 years are my target market because they are ones who are very active.

14. You're Still In Highschool How Do You Balance Your Music And School Work?

It is not really easy, but i try to forget music and concentrate on my school work because while i am thinking about music i totally lose focus when i am in class, sometimes i am tired, but i try to concentrate at school. Lets just say when i am at school i leave Amarillo Dramacydal at the gate and i become Amu, when i get out of school i become Amarillo Dramacydal. So yeah i balance them very well, i give them 40% each of my time and the 20% of my time i use it for resting and spending time with family

15. What Is Your Mission You Want To Accomplish Via Your Music?

I want to be the highest ranked rapper in RSA, i want to be an international musician, i would love to see myself owning my own record label some day

16. Any Collabs You Have Done?

I have worked with the likes of Blow SA and Phoenix SA , i do not usually do collaborations.

17. Where Do You See Your Music In The Next Coming 5 Years?

I see my music featured at the biggest events of the world, being an international artist. My dream is to be nominated at the MTV Awards and the Grammy Awards, and in the next coming five years i would have already achieved that.
